So you’ve been looking at girl tattoo pictures. You might be thinking of getting one and once you find a design that you like, you’ll hope to get exactly what you see. Yes, tattoos on girls can look absolutely beautiful. There are however, a couple of considerations that you would have to look at before you get yourself inked.

Making the Decision

Getting a tattoo is not a decision you should easily make. This is especially true if it is your first time. You have to think long and hard about your decision because a tattoo can change your life. Here are some questions you should ask yourself first before you get a tattoo:

- Is this something I really want? You can never underestimate the value of this first major question. Some may consider getting a tattoo to please someone else. Do consider though that a person you may be trying to please may not hang around for a long time. Do you honestly want to carry a reminder of someone who just doesn’t matter in your life anymore?

- Am I a shy or daring person? You may think this question is unusual but it actually matters. There are various places where you can decide to place a tattoo. Your personality however will determine where you should place them. If you want to be discreet then you can pick body areas that can be covered when you want to.

- Am I ready to face what other people will say? Those online girl tattoo pictures may look cool. In reality though, many people have had to deal with various opinions from other people. Tattoos may be growing in popularity but some people still see women with tattoos in a negative light. You have to be ready not to care about criticisms.

- Am I ready to say forever? Finding the perfect design is crucial. This is because a tattoo is something that you can’t take out when you grow tired of it. Even when your tastes and preferences change, your tattoo will stay constant. You have to be absolutely certain that you are willing to live forever with your chosen design.

Finding a Design

Tattoo designs are everywhere. You can get inspiration from books, signs you encounter and just about everything else. It is always best though to get your design from expert designers. Your tattoo artist may have his own gallery of designs that you can choose from. Online galleries however are nearly always more comprehensive. An online gallery can hold thousands of categorized tattoo designs that you might want to consider. Make sure you pick a design you know the significance of and is personally meaningful to you.

Finding an Artist

Get the right artist. A good design is nothing without a good artist. It is therefore of utmost importance that you pick an artist who can execute a design well. Aside from the design, artists also usually take the body part to be tattooed into consideration. Not all artists for example can tattoo the feet well. Make sure you get an artist who is both comfortable with your design and body part.

Tattoo for women designs are great works of art. Many women would certainly consider getting inked because of the great many designs available. As with every decision though, there are common questions that you might wan to ask first before you do get a tattoo. Here are the top three questions to ask.

What are the best, sexiest or cutest designs?

This is probably the most common question. Go to any girl tattoo forum and you will surely encounter girls who want to know the answer to this. The truth is that there is no single answer for it. Everything depends on what you personally like and what fits you. There are however a couple of enduring design categories that women favor. You might want to consider some of them.

Design of Flowers - Floral designs have always been on top of the list. Flowers, vines and leaves simply convey femininity. Strategic placements can also send out the message of sexiness. Be careful with your choice of flower though. Not all kinds of flowers have positive symbolic meanings.

Tribal Tattoo Designs - Tribal designs were once only for men. Women however, can actually look just as good. This is especially when the design is placed in appropriate places. You can have one on your wrist, hip, lower back or arm. Make sure to research on the particular tribal meaning of your design.

Winged Designs - Winged creatures are also popular tattoo for women designs. You would look feminine but strong with a butterfly or an angel. Winged fantasy creatures are also an option. You can go for fairies or winged unicorns.

What are the best places to place a tattoo on?

This is also quite a popular question. A lot of people would actually counsel you to pick a spot that you like. Nobody should have to dictate where you want your tattoo. On second thought, there are some practical considerations for tattoo placement.

Personality - Your personality and work can determine tattoo placement. If you are reserved or if you have a job with strict dress code rules, then you should think twice about placing a tattoo in a prominent spot. You might want to consider a spot that can be partially hidden.

Wrong Spots - Some spots are not good areas to place tattoos on. A well-done tattoo on your foot for example may seem great. The ink on foot tattoos however can easily smear. Foot tattooing and after care can also be painful and inconvenient. Areas in a woman’s body that are prone to flabbiness and sagging are also not good spots.

Best Spots - There are a couple of popular tattoo areas. One of the most popular is the lower back. This area is obviously a sexy spot to have a tattoo on. Many people however now view this spot as unoriginal.

What do men or people think of women with tattoos?

There are really some people who still think or worry about what other people have to say. This shouldn’t matter to you if you it is your personal decision to get a tattoo. You should know though that there are still a couple of people and men who think tattoos are tramp stamps. If you aren’t a tramp at all, then there is no reason for you to get overly affected by such labels.

Learning Acoustic Guitar Chords

A chord played on the acoustic guitar is defined as a few notes played at the same time. There are many different acoustic guitar chords, but by learning just the elementary ones, it is possible to play a whole lot of songs. Major chords have a bright, melodious sound and minor chords sound melancholy or sad.

Acoustic guitar chord diagrams notate guitar chords. Rather than side to side (horizontal) the way guitar tabs run, the lines that represent an acoustic chord diagram will run up and down, or vertically. You will see a grid when looking at a chord diagram. The strings are represented by the vertical lines, while the frets are represented by the horizontal lines. The areas where you need to hold the string down is where the dots appear.

The acoustic guitar chord diagram will have numbers at either the top or the bottom, which tell you what finger to use. 1 stands for index, 2 middle, 3 ring and 4 pinky and 0 means the string is not held down with a finger and is played. If there is an X, the string is not held down and not played. Rarely, the thumb is used and noted by a T.

One acoustic guitar chord you will use frequently is G major. This chord uses three fingers of your left hand: the middle finger on the third fret of the sixth string, the index finger on the second fret of the fifth string, and the ring finger on the third fret of the first string. Leave the other three strings open. Then play all six strings, one at a time. You should be able to hear the chord clearly.

If the sound isn’t right, you can try pushing harder on the string so that it presses closer to the fingerboard. You can also bring your finger closer to the fret. Your fingers should not be touching one another, or any of the other strings. You can strum all of the notes in unison once the sound is good. You will then be playing a G-major acoustic guitar chord.

The E-minor acoustic guitar chord is easier on the left hand. The E-minor chord uses only two left-hand fingers: the index and middle fingers, both on the second fret, of the fifth and fourth strings respectively. Make sure that both strings are held firmly without the two fingers touching each other. You may want to play those two strings several times by themselves before attempting the chord, so you can adjust the fingering if needed. Then strum all strings to play an E minor chord.

There are only a few basic acoustic guitar chords you need to learn. These include C-major, D-major, A-minor, and A-major. You should familiarize yourself with them by moving back and forth between these acoustic guitar chords. With practice, you will commit them to memory and playing will go more smoothly.

You need to start off slow when your firest learning acoustic guitar chords and eventually, your fingers will get in place by themselves. With daily practice, your fingers will be moving quickly across these acoustic guitar chords.

Tattoo for a Girl: Avoiding Mistakes

A tattoo for a girl needs special consideration on several things. Getting a tattoo takes more than just deciding on the first design you like and having it etched on your skin immediately. Deciding to get a tattoo needs careful thought and reflection. Otherwise, you could make some serious tattoo mistakes. Here are some girl tattoo mistakes to avoid.

Tattooing Someone’s Name

This is one of the biggest and most common mistakes. It has nothing to do with an artist’s lack of tattooing skill. It has everything to do with your own present personal preoccupation. It may feel like someone will always be special to you and truly deserves to have his name or face tattooed on you.

Child or Parent - This may be a good idea if you are considering the name or face of your child or parents. After all, you can never change your parents and offspring. It is a different story though if you are thinking of a significant other. No matter how in love you are right now, you may not last forever. You do not want an ex’s name on you forever especially when you find someone new.

Not Researching About a Design

It is a mistake is not to know the exact meaning of a design. Just because a design looks feminine and delicate doesn’t mean that it is meaningful. Of course, not everyone picks a tattoo design for its significance. Others pick designs based on the coolness or cuteness of appearance. This is all well and good but you don’t want to be stuck with a tattoo for a girl that has a negative or unintentionally humorous meaning. This is especially true with designs like angels, flowers, foreign characters and stars that may have various definitions depending on the particular style.

Getting a Tattoo for Someone Else

This is another common mistake, just like tattooing someone else’s name. You should avoid getting a tattoo simply because someone wants you to. You should always decide to have a tattoo because you truly want to. This is the only way you can grow old and still love your tattoo. It can be tough learning to live with a design that you regret getting.

Tattooing the Wrong Body Part

The right design isn’t your only concern. You also have to be sure that you have the right body part. It is not uncommon for women to have a body part tattooed and then regret it. Sometimes the design may not be appropriate to the body part. Sometimes though that body part itself may look perfect but clients still end up regretting it. This is because a design may seem too big, too small or too obvious. If you want the world to know of your tattoo, then you would be okay with large tattoos in visible areas. If you are a little shy though, then you could opt for tattoos that can be hidden from view like those on your bum or feet.

Being Only Half-Convinced

Probably the worst mistake you could make is to get a tattoo without being fully convinced that you should get one. A tattoo is something you will carry for a very long time. You should be certain that this is something that you truly want. Regretting getting a tattoo can be the worst thing that can happen to you.

Collecting is a fun hobby, and one of the most interesting things to collect are art collectibles. Many different items can be painted with artwork and become an art collectible. Hobby enthusiasts collect such things as saw blades, and wooden eggs which have had artwork painted on. People even collect designer rugs as art. Another art collectible hobby is collecting limited edition plates, thimbles, Christmas ornaments, and figurines produced by such companies as Bradford Exchange. And of course, many people collect fine art paintings.

Why collect art?

While collecting art, you may notice at some point that you value particular artists more than other; your collection may be based just on one artist’s works or, if you like variation, you can chose to collect works from various old or new artists. Some people like to collect a certain object that has a special meaning to them; people will collect cigars, wild animals, and even piano music.

The definition of the art collector is not a rich person who is able to spend large amounts of money on famous paintings; everybody can collect art even if they don’t have such a big budget. Post cards are a wonderful thing to start with and many places offer a big variety of them; if you want to buy postcards you should try a museum gift shop and start your beautiful postcard collection.

Looking On Ebay

You can find anything on Ebay, even if your taste is a bit odd or eccentric. For a newbie Ebay experience can be very intense, the menu has tons of options. Ebay is not just a place where you buy art, it’s a good place for art sellers as well. You won’t be spending large sums of money with Ebay. Flea markets, garage sales, and thrift shops can turn out to be important art providers if you want to save money. People can usually sell things that turn out to be little treasures for an art collector.

Best thing about art is that you can find it all over the world. A good idea is to search for art in your own town in parts like: museums, artist’s hangouts, or art shows- these can be very useful if you search for low price art. Travel souvenirs are also a form of art and this can be proved by Linda Barnicott, an artist who paints scenes, buildings, and landmarks from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Keep in mind that every place hides one or more local artists.

Collecting art makes you get more involved in life matters and it’s also a great way to decorate your house with beautiful art pieces. You could be a great art collector if you like to be surrounded with lovely, quality things.

Graphic Design: Bright Future

Graphic design is a line of work offering a variety of profitable opportunities in just about every industry. An array of companies and organizations need skilled graphic designers for their advertising and marketing departments. This is a fast-paced, creative career that places the graphic designer either in the midst of a marketing team, or alone in more creative confines. Indeed, many graphic designers are self-employed and enjoy the freedom of working from home or telecommuting.

Esteemed institutions will teach you how to use color, select type, work with artistic images, manage the design process, collaborate with clients and take advantage of the enhanced capabilities of three of today’s most popular graphic software applications - Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. Graphic designers work to produce the artwork for promotional displays, packaging, ads, direct mail, marketing brochures and signs for products and services. They may also be charged with supervising the production of magazines, newspapers, newsletters and other publications.

The demand for graphic designers is projected to increase as the demand for Web-based information and design likewise increases. Graduates with hands-on digital design software experience are likely to be in particular demand. Advertising firms, publishing companies and computer design firms are key employers of graphic designers. Creativity, communication, and problem solving skills are all essential traits for the successful graphic designer.

A bachelor’s degree is required for most entry-level and advanced graphic design positions; although some entry-level technical positions may only require an associate degree. Most courses of study include such classes as studio art, principles of design, computerized design, commercial graphics production, printing techniques, and website design. Additionally, a remarkable liberal arts education should include courses in art history, writing, psychology, sociology, at least one foreign language, as well as classes in cultural studies, marketing, and business. The National Association of Schools of Art and Design accredits about 250 postsecondary institutions with programs in art and design. Many universities will not allow students to begin their bachelor’s program until he or she has successfully finished a year of basic art and design courses.

More and more, employers expect graphic designers to be savvy with computer graphics and design software. Because consumer tastes change quickly, designers must be well read, open to new ideas and influences, and quick to react to new trends. Students in this field need self-discipline to start projects, budget their time, and meet deadlines and production schedules.

New graphic designers often receive on-the-job training and usually need between 1 to 3 years of training before they can advance to higher positions. Experienced graphic designers tend to advance to chief designer, art or creative director, or other supervisory positions. Some designers also join academia, becoming teachers in design schools or in colleges and universities. Many faculty members continue to consult privately or operate small design studios to complement their classroom activities.

The basics about learning to draw and paint perspectives can be found in hundreds of art books…

Essentially, they will talk about horizon lines, vanishing points and view points. They are an important guide for an artist to master drawing and painting realistic looking art.

Better still, an artist gains the knowledge of recreating 3-dimensional physical form in 2 dimensions. With full knowledge of perspective drawing a good artist can create a painting that will look lifelike…

* Your picture appears to have depth and substance even though it has been created on a flat surface

* Your pencil drawing shows the reality of mood and atmosphere

* Your portrait painting looks as if the subject could leap from the canvas to shake your hand

However, for an art beginner, perspective drawing can be a mystery.

Even the best artists can rely upon the rules of perspectives too much. Top professional illustrators can end up producing artificial looking paintings even when every effort has been made to respect perspective laws…

* Objects seem to be distorted

* Extreme flatness is the overall effect

Your own unique artistic viewpoint gives you the key to understanding and using perspectives.

Here are some reasons why you see the world differently from the person standing beside you…

* You are physically different… You could be taller or shorter in height

* Your eyesight will be different… You could be short-sighted while your neighbor is long-sighted

* Everyone sees colors differently… You could have perfect color vision… Other people’s color vision could be impaired

Your emotional response to your art subject affects your painting and drawing. If you have passion for your subject matter the resulting artwork will be better.

Knowing that you see the world differently gives you an advantage. You can justify your artistic vision. Whatever an art critic might say about your paintings and drawings… You know your art is your own view of reality…

Enjoy your painting and drawing… “Your Art is your own perspective on life!”

Is it true when a person says that they can’t draw?

The fact is that people draw every day… they just don’t know they are drawing.

Drawing is like writing. The function of each is to communicate ideas and information. Both drawing and writing is nothing more than the process of making marks onto a surface like paper.

“You can draw if you can write”

The same skills are used in writing and drawing.

When you write you don’t think about what it is you are doing…

* You are forming lines

* You are drawing circles

* You are creating curves

Writing comes naturally to you. Because you were taught to write at school the skills of writing become instinctive.

When you draw exactly the same skills are being used…

* You can use a series of lines to draw a house

* You use a combination of curves to draw a face

This means that you can learn to draw. The only thing stopping you is that it will take your time and effort to develop your drawing skills.

Here’s a challenge… Take a pen or pencil and draw a cat or a dog. If you aren’t used to drawing the result will disappoint you. Your drawing might not look anything like a cat or a dog.

This is no great surprise to you. You already know that you can’t draw.

The surprise might be to learn that many artists would also fail to get an exact likeness.

The real challenge when you draw is to sharpen your observation skills.

As you look more closely at the cat and dog you will see more. Take a close look at the head…

* See the shape of the head

* See how the ears are placed on top

* See the eyes

* Look at the nose

Very soon you will see a clearer picture in your mind…

“Now, you will see a sudden improvement when you draw the next dog or cat picture”
